The documents rescued from the fire at the State Archives in Mons have been divided into the following collections: Manuscripts, Cartularies, Obituaries and Local Archives
1) Bishopric
The bishopric of Tournai was established at the end of the 5th century.e century, it was united to that of Noyon at the beginning of the VIIe century, independent since 1146; its boundaries were modified in 1559 and 1802.
The Tournai Archives have 101 items for the period 1393-1794 and 21 items for the period 1040-1806.
