Bishopric, 1481-XVIIIth century (65 items).
The diocese of Namur was created in 1559 (until then, the current province of Namur was part of the former diocese of Liège, with the exception of a few parishes in the south, which belonged to the archdiocese of Reims). The territory of the diocese of Namur covered roughly the county of Namur and Walloon Brabant (under the French regime, it corresponded to the department of Sambre-et-Meuse).
