Certificates of indigence are required to obtain facilities or exemptions for the poor. They are exempt from the visa formality (Royal Decree of 4 January 1849).
The decree of 06 September 1814 (Official Gazette III no. 26) exempts the payment of registration fees for a deed.
This certificate must be supported by a declaration from the tax collector stating that these persons do not pay any direct contributions, or that their taxation does not exceed 10 fr. Indigence certificates must be accompanied by the declaration of the tax collector mentioned in the royal decree of 06 September 1814.
